BIO - Jacqueline Collier

Born in New York City, Jacqueline Collier has been a resident of Teaneck, New Jersey for over thirty-five years.  Her interest in art started in early childhood.  She has always enjoyed painting, and has always had a love of nature and a desire to express the feelings that nature evokes through her art. Jacqueline is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she earned an Associate Degree in Fashion-Illustration.  However, she took a turn towards early childhood education.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Herbert H. Lehman College, and her master’s degree from in Special Education from the College of New Rochelle.  After teaching for more than thirty years, Jacqueline now devotes her time to her passion painting with a focus on watercolor and printmaking.  She is a member of the Pascack Art Association, Salute to Women in the Arts group, and is an associate member of the NJ Watercolor Society.


Jacqueline has recently exhibited throughout the Bergen County, New Jersey and New York City areas.  These exhibit venues include The Atrium Art Gallery in Morristown, NJ; the Veterans Park Exhibits in Westward, NJ; the Veterans Park Exhibit in Hillsdale, NJ; The Belskie Museum in Closter, NJ; The Library Gallery in Barnardsville, NJ; the NYCCAT/UFT Artist/Teachers Exhibition, The Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ; the Pen & Brush Gallery in NYC; and the Manhattan Athletic Club in New York City.  She was honored to be one of the very first artists to be featured in the Russell Aldo Murray (RAM) Gallery, a Smithsonian Institute Affiliate, at its inaugural exhibition in Newark, NJ.  She has also exhibited at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, NJ.


She has won several awards, honors, and acknowledgments for her artwork.
